I have a specialty in working with blondes and am always continuing my education, with an extension course lined up for October. I love creating the vision of Black Olive Studio–a warm and upscale space, nestled in the rustic foothills of the Rockies.

I’m Melody. I've been hairdressing for 35 years, starting with my training and career in Edmonton. For 15 years, I honed my skills, competing in various competitions, with fantasy and fantasy makeup being my favorites. I've had the privilege of doing hair for the Miss Canada pageant, fashion shows, and modeling shoots. I also styled wigs for opera productions at the University of Alberta. To stay on top of the latest trends and techniques, I attend hair shows in Las Vegas every couple of years.
